These terms apply to your use of watrexwaterproofing.com and to services provided by WATREX WATERPROOFING CONSULTANT (“WATREX”, “we”, “us”), Office No 09, Third Floor, Akshaya HQ, Old Mahabalipuram Road, Kazhipattur Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu 603103. By using the website or requesting our services, you agree to them.

1. Information on this website

The content on this website, including service descriptions, process steps, system lifespans and answers to common questions, is general information. Every building is different. It does not replace an inspection, and it is not structural engineering advice. The right repair for your property is set out only in the written report and quote we give you after an inspection.

Typical timescales and system lifespans mentioned on the site are indicative. Actual results depend on the condition of the building, the system chosen, the weather and how the building is used.

2. Inspections

  • Site inspections are [free within Chennai city limits / charged at [amount], adjusted against the work if you go ahead: confirm].
  • We may need access to the area above and below the leak, including terraces, tanks and neighbouring areas. You are responsible for arranging access, including permission from neighbours or associations.
  • Some tests, such as a flood test or a small test opening, may be needed to find the cause. We will explain and ask before doing them.

3. Quotes

  • Prices are not published on the website because they depend on each site. Every quote is written and itemised.
  • A quote is valid for [30] days from its date.
  • The quote states the scope, the system, the expected timeline, the payment terms and the warranty period. Work not listed in the quote is not included.
  • If we find hidden damage once work starts, such as rusted steel, hollow concrete or leaking concealed pipes, we will stop, show you, and agree any additional work and cost in writing before continuing.

4. Payment

  • Payment terms are set out in the quote. Typically: [X%] advance on confirmation, [X%] during the work, and the balance on completion and handover.
  • Payments can be made by [bank transfer / UPI / cheque]. We do not accept card payments through this website.
  • All prices are subject to GST as applicable. A GST invoice is issued for every payment.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate information about the property and any previous repairs.
  • Provide water and electricity at the site during the work.
  • Keep the area clear and safe, and keep children and pets away from the work area.
  • Do not walk on, cover or load treated surfaces until we say they have cured.
  • Tell us before any later work is done on treated areas.

6. Our responsibilities

  • Carry out the work in the scope agreed, using the systems named in the quote, applied as the manufacturer specifies.
  • Keep the site tidy and remove our waste.
  • Take reasonable care of your property while we work.
  • Test the treated area and issue a written warranty on handover.

7. Weather and delays

Waterproofing depends on dry weather. Coatings will not be applied in rain or on wet surfaces. If weather or circumstances outside our control delay the work, we will reschedule with you and will not charge for the delay.

8. Cancellation

  • You may cancel before work starts. If materials have been bought or prepared specifically for your job, we may keep the part of the advance that covers them, and we will show you the bills.
  • Once work has started, you pay for the work done and the materials used up to that point.

9. Warranty

The warranty for each job is set out on the certificate issued at handover and on our Warranty page. It covers leaks through the treated area caused by our materials or workmanship, within the stated period and conditions.

10. Limitation of liability

Our responsibility is limited to repairing the treated area under the warranty, or, where repair is not possible, refunding the amount paid for the affected part of the work. We are not responsible for damage to interior finishes, furniture or contents caused by leaks, for structural defects in the building, or for loss caused by events outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot be limited.

11. Photos of your property

We take photos during inspections and work as a record. We may use photos of the work, without your name or exact address, on this website and on social media, unless you tell us not to. To opt out, tell us at any time.

12. Reviews and testimonials

Reviews on this website come from real customers. We do not pay for reviews or edit their wording, except to remove personal details. Any testimonial with a name is published only with the customer’s permission.

13. Website use

  • You may use this website for your own information. You may not copy its content, photos or design for commercial use without our written permission.
  • You may not use the site or its forms to send spam, harmful code or false information.
  • Links to other websites are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.

How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, we will first try to settle it by discussion. If that fails, the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu will have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force when you accept a quote applies to that job.
