Walls you cannot reach

Where a floor was added on top of an older house, the join between old and new is a common leak point. That covers the edge where the new walls sit on the old slab, the old parapet that became an inside wall, and pipes that were extended through the roof. We trace these carefully, because the stain often shows a room away from the joint.
